Girl Up Janaki is a team of passionate young students who wish to bring change in the world. It is a Girl Up Club based at the Shriram Millennium School, Noida. The platform was started by our founders: Akshaya Pai and Aranyika Kapur.

The club is aimed at women's empowerment and bringing equality in India. It prioritizes women's health and hygiene and creates awareness about how underprivileged women in slums and villages lack basic necessities like education, an understanding of menstrual health and financial literacy.

It focuses on the Sustainable Developmental Goals of the United Nations, emphasizing on Good Health and Well Being, Gender Equality and Quality Education. We, at Girl Up Janaki, believe that every woman has great potential to achieve her dreams and lift other women to achieve theirs, too.

We also believe in sensitizing today's youth about the gender inequality that prevails in our country and the need for basic education.

Our club is christened ‘Janaki’, meaning from the earth. This is in line with the kind of work we hope to do amongst girls at the grassroot level. Through our endeavors we wish to educate, act and serve.
